After discovering a mystery box in the classroom, the children found themselves helping Julia Donaldson to create some puppets for her book, The Gruffalo.
This led the children to think of different types of puppets and how they are brought to life.
They then investigated the diverse materials for making puppets and experimented with a variety of joining methods.
Through doing this project, the children enhanced their manipulation of tools and their physical hand dexterity.
As expert puppeteers, the children then shared their knowledge of puppet making in an interactive workshop with their grown ups.
