Miss Ferdows had ordered some new fairy tale books for Year R. We found them ripped up around our school...it was terrible! We decided to create our own Hansel and Gretel books for Miss Ferdows that we would share with the Year R children.
We studied the artist Gustav Klimt and learned how he uses the colour gold in his work. We also learned how he uses shape and pattern in his pictures. We then printed a gingerbread house in the style of Gustav Klimt.
We made a slider page for our book. We had to make Hansel and Gretel move through the forest to the gingerbread house.
