Do we have tadpoles today? Were any of the classes right? Take a look....

The chicks have been moved out of the incubator now - they still like to huddle together to keep warm though! How many chicks can you see?!

We were very surprised when we came in this morning - the frogspawn have started to change shape already! Some classes predicted when we will see tadpoles... some said tomorrow, some said Monday, some said the end of next week.  Who do you think will be right?!

Today, we started the day with 2 chicks and ended with 5! Year R looked carefully at the colour of the chicks to try and work out which ones are boys and which ones are girls.  Do you know which are which?

We don't just have chicks in school - we have frog spawn too! We can't wait to watch the life cycle of a frog in action!

Caterpillar class couldn't believe their eyes when they got to see a chick hatch this morning! They were very excited - and even more excited when another pipped and hatched very quickly that afternoon! I felt very lucky to have been at their door when the second hatched -it really is an amazing experience for children and adults alike!

We are very excited that we have chick eggs in school! We are starting to see them crack... how long before we have a chick in school!?
