You may not believe it but our teacher found a penguin in the fridge this week!
We brought it back to the classroom and discussed what we already knew about penguins and made a list of questions about what we would like to know.
The first thing we found out was that, although penguins can be found in many places around the world, they are mainly found in Antarctica. We used Google Earth to locate where we live and then how we would get to Antarctica.
We have started learning about Emperor and Rockhopper penguins.
We discovered how penguins move in different ways; they waddle on the snow, toboggan on their tummies on ice and huddle together when it gets cold. We practiced these movements in our PE lesson this week.
